2019 Cow Patty Bingo Cancelled - We are sorry but due to scheduling conflicts this years cow patty bingo has been cancelled. We will be back next year!!!
Epiphany of Our Lord Cow Plop Official Rules and Regulations for 2019
1. A section of the Msgr. Sullivan Field will be marked off into 5 feet by 5 feet squares. Each square will randomly be labeled with a number from 1 to 500. (#1 will therefore not necessarily be a corner square)
2. People may purchase squares at the cost of $20.00 a square.
3. Squares will be assigned to participants by the luck of the draw. Each number 1 to 500 will be placed in a raffle drum. When a ticket is purchased a cow plop official will pull the winning numbers from the raffle drum. The number drawn will be the square that the purchaser receives.
4. The actual grid on the field will be clearly marked with all squares being of equal shape and size. The grid will also be protected by a barrier. Spectators and players must not enter the grid or interfere with the progress of the event in any way.
5. All land parcels must be purchased by 5PM on June 1. An official poster will be displayed at the Parish Offices until the day of the event and at the information booth the day of the event.
6. At 6PM on June 1nd, a cow will be led into the designated grid area by an appropriate handler and allowed to roam free with the fenced in grid area.
7. The winner of the First Place cow plop will be the person who has the square where the cow deposits its first cow pie (first place winner is not eligible to win second place). Second place winner will be the person who has the square where the cow deposits its second cow pie.
8. If the cow has not made a deposit on a square by 7PM the winner will be chosen by raffle with all squares entered into the raffle.
9. If the weather is deemed unsafe the winner of the event will be chosen by raffle with all squares entered into the raffle.
10. If the cow plops on more than one square, official judges will determine which square received the biggest deposit. The one with the biggest deposit will be our winner.
(The first cow plop deposit only counts as first place - no matter if landing in multiple squares; second place will be determined by the second cow plop deposit.)
11. If the cow plops on a square that was not sold, the prize will go to the square closest to the square that was plopped on. In this case there could be more than one winner.
12. People do not need to be present to win. All winners are responsible for all associate fees/taxes associated with the cash prize winning.
13. The decision of Cow Plop judges with respect to the event winner(s) is final. Winners not present will be notified and have 30 days to claim their prize money. All unclaimed prize money will be donated to Saint Vincent De Paul Society.
